RENM, a tuning firm in Melbourne, Australia, have revealed their set of modifications to boost power on the Porsche 997 Turbo.  Their full package reduces the car's 0-100 km/h sprint time to 3.1 seconds, with the car able to maintain a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).

Called the RM580, the kit includes engine tuning to increase output by 16 percent.  The car's engine now kicks out 580 PS (426 kW) and up to 800 Nm, a 23 percent maximum torque increase.  RENM did not reveal the specific upgrades under the hood.

They did get more specific in describing the new adjustable stainless steel exhaust, which lets the driver control performance and sound.  Several different suspensions are available with the RM580, depending on the individual customer's needs.  Inside, a new steering wheel is available, as well as carbon fiber trim elements.  Rounding out the package is a set of three-piece forged wheels.

RENM Porsche 997 Turbo

The latest update of the Porsche 997 turbo is an impressive performance-based vehicle, producing 500PS (368KW) and 650NM in standard form. RENM performance, known for their distinctive and unique designs, recently released their version of the Porsche 997 Turbo - the RM580

The RM580 features a stage 2 performance upgrade that increases power output to 580PS (426KW) 800NM. The modifications enable the RM580 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h. According to RENM performance, the modifications rely on cutting-edge technology and engineering, which explains how the RM580 achieves such impressive performance figures.

The RM580 exhaust system is made from T309 stainless steel and uses sports catalytic converters with sound and performance valve control. The tuning programme comes with the choice of various suspension kits that lower ride and improve handling, also available for PASM fitted models.

RENM performance's ‘subtle, understated, and aggressive' design is evident in the RM580, which features exclusive and unique three piece forged wheels with titanium fasteners.  The kit comes with the choice of carbon fibre interior inserts and revised steering wheel. In our assessment, the high quality components used in the RM580 programme are in-keeping with a performance vehicle of this calibre.

Man, I love this. Are those wheels that wird part black part silver or are they monotone gunmetal or black or what? This car is sick, that lip on the back wheel really gives it a great stance.
