every car company wants to reach Audi quality this days :) nice to now that :)

Except for Audi who wants to reach BMW quality. Mazda is taking direct aim at BMW with their alphanumeric naming convention, Bavarian blue checkered flag, and "sport-sedan" image. VW and Ford are both barking up the wrong tree.

I prefer Both, Quality and Reliability and this is where ALL the Japanese leave the Germans for Dead..
An 8 Year Reliability Survey conducted in the UK has..
1,Daihatsu
2,Honda
3,Toyota
4,Mazda
5,Lexus
6,Suzuki
7,Subaru
13,BMW
16,Ford
17,Nissan
18,Porsche
20,VW...
No Audi, Merc made the top 20.

very sexy concept... I'm thinking it previews the look of the next RX8, perhaps with a 4 door version (as per concept). I just hope the rotary engine is keep alive

^^ thumbs up. hope it will come alive with the new rotary engine 16x and a dual-clutch and a full leather interior :)

Interesing... renders look like a sedan but concept drawings look like a coupe. Hopefully this means RX7 and RX8 revisions are on their way. Make the RX7 a hatchback and keep the suicide doors on the RX8 and they will sell themselves.
I like what they have done with the front grille. Hopefully this is used as an air inlet, and not a stupid grinning plastic mouth like the current Mazda3.

I like this and I wish they had a better picture of it.
i like the front on this better the mazda3 as well. but this one it reminds me of a cat

This concept looks very familiar to Infiniti Essence concept but quite slick nevertheless.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture was the Fisker Karma... :o

Same here. Those Japanese never stop copying. Why don;t they start making their own ideas? this is stealing you know
August 30, 2010 7:51 pm
I think, it competite with Fisker Karma in Design, but there are so many fundamental differences, I never whould say that Mazda has copy by Fisker!
definitly a nice conception and it looks like it can come true

Build it, build it, and build it! And give it RWD (or rear wheel biased AWD) and a *great* inetrior.

This is really impressive! However,Mazda has a way of introducing a new styling...and then it never carries over to any other models except the Mazda5(slightly). Also, I am a fan of Mazda but they are not the leader in any of the segments that they compete in so why bother trying to play in the same group as BMW. But, if Hyundai can make the big leap, why not Mazda.

Looks amazing, looks a lot better than the latest CLS or Panamera. This will eat the Passat CC for sure
August 30, 2010 4:27 pm
Not this looks hot, but I agree with "uzzie" this reminds me of fisker
August 30, 2010 6:17 pm
If only these concepts actually came to the dealer close to the original look. I can see it now... The lines won't be as smooth, there will be a good deal of wheel gap, and the fit & finish won't be anywhere near what they aspire. I do hope they live up to it though.

Beautiful !!!!! If Masda do a car like that , she will put gold on her shield , and will re-found her honor .
August 30, 2010 11:38 pm
Looks great. I'm pleased Mazda opted for aggressive "mean" look, and discarded "smile" that looked way dull to me. Just hope some of these concepts will see the light...

BMW and Audi? It's joke??? Unsuccessful joke! Mazda has become famous for ability to do fine concepts and then to embody them in absolutely ugly cars. Except RX-8.
