Arash AF-10 full specs and new pics released
Arash AF-10, 1600, 20.08.2010

English automakers Arash Motor Company, has released a new set of images featuring the Arash AF-10.  The car, under development for over five years in a small Cambridge office facility, has finally been pushed through a 3D modelling programme.

The car is said to use the 550-horsepower seven-liter LS7 V8 engine from GM.  For this car, the engine would crank out up to 475 ft-lb of torque.  The engine would be mated to a six-speed Graziano GT-ME1 transmission.

The car would ride on custom two-piece aluminum wheels measuring 9.5x19 inches in the front, and 12.5x20 inches in the rear.  They would be wrapped in Michelin Pilot tires measuring 265/35Z in front, and 335/30Z in the rear.  Behind the wheels lie ventilated ceramic discs and AP Racing brake calipers (eight-piston front, six-piston rear).

To keep the weight down, the car would have a carbon fiber body with panels meshed with aluminum honeycomb.  Similar materials are also used for the alleged "Formula 1" engineer-designed chassis, with a roll cage made of steel.  Plastic windows are used at the back, while front and side windows are laminated glass.

There is no telling if or when this car would be made, but it would be nice to see the Arash AF-10 on the road.

See specs list in attached photos album image.

Looks more like a combo of Enzo and Lotus . Seems every new super car is going for the same Look instead of going completely different way like Zonda Did over 10 years ago

Here is everybody's chance to own a mid engined Corvette. Design wise that is a very far leap of the imagination I know, but mechanically speaking this is pretty close as to what you'd expect. It's a shame they didn't use the LS9 out of the ZR1. That would put this thing into a whole new ballpark.

Leave in the microwave for 10 minutes in the unfreeze mode. Serve imidiatly on top of a pile of sh*t

Please proof-read your comment next time before posting. Your opinions are welcome and all but the spelling and grammar make your remarks nearly unintelligible. This being a text based community, your peers have nothing else with which to judge you by. The last thing you want to do is taint your image and create a reputation of being.... well, to put it nicely, ignorant.

I would admit to some spelling mistakes, but still.... If you can't understand the point then I would seriously question myself about who the ignorant might be... By the way, are u from the usa????

Its hard to understand the point when one has to read and re-read the post to make sense of the point you are trying to covey

This is Arash Farboud's third attempt at producing a supercar and all the two previous ended in failure. At least the second got sold, became the Farbio before failing again and getting snapped up by Ginetta (we're yet to see whether it makes it to market with that badge on the nose). The guy is full of ideas but his track record in execution is "DNF". I don't hold my hopes out for this. but I hope to be proved wrong as the factory is just down the road from where I was brought up.

Thank you author, for not mentioning the weight. We all know that doesn't matter. May you be stricken with HIV/AIDS

No way this car can join the supercar club, there's no original design in it like Pagani or Koenigsegg or Spyker

I am an Australian, if I was to start a company in Britain, employ people in Britain, create a product in Britain, manufacture the product in Britain, the product is British not Australian. If it looks and quacks...

Please tell us where you are from. I'd like to know, should I become as bigotted as you, which nation I should be labeling as ignorant of anything to do with engineering or the automotive sector. Go up to the search box above and type in Ricardo, Lotus, formula 1 or anything like that and then come and have another attempt at being credible.

hahaha lotus, ricardo. and how does that compare with names like ferrari, lamborghini, pagani, bugatti, mercedes, bmw, ducati, cagiva, or many more. you british amuse me. just like jeremy clarkson. as funny as he is. and as much as he knows how rubbish british products are. he is still overly proud. its good to be proud. but everything has a limit. honestly. british cars have never been good. and the ones that are doing good now are doing so ever since they started being owned by international investors.

You really are a spanner with no understanding or desire to have any understanding of how the world and it's economy works.

the British car industry may be struggling, but remember alot of motorsport expertise comes from the UK. If you really are a petrol head you would know this. As for this car..good luck to them. Using the money he gets from the Pharmaceutal industry to fund a dream is alright by me.

It looks like a combination of Lotus Europa (Front), Ferrari FXX (middle and rear) and Koenigsegg CCX (back end and lights).

It would be cool if the new mid engine corvette looked like this at $50,000. They would sell a bunch

No they wouldn't because this is a disgusting cobbled together Enzo clone. Corvette's are far better looking than this.

The day the public can actually buy a car from Arash Farboud that isn't a second hand Porsche or Ferrari, I will eat my hat.

I remember the genesis of Arash Farboud Cars which I followed in AUTOCAR magazine about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, there is little, if any, originality in his products since. At least that's one criticism I can't lay on Noble Cars!
