Spies in Germany caught several pics of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG.  The car was seen during testing on the Nurburgring, really hitting the curves hard on what the spy describes as a "soft suspension."

If it gets the AMG Performance Package for the 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine from the S63 AMG, it should pump out 563 hp (420 kW, 571 PS) and up to 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.  This engine would likely be mated to the automaker's seven-speed Speedshift MCT transmission.

Larger brake calipers and discs can be seen behind the testing wheels.  The car is also fitted with a dual exhaust, with a tail pipe on either side of the vehicle, and vents on the hood.

The low-to-the-ground model should get its production debut in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

MB makes a great beautiful vehicle but when you drive any AMG and compare it to the handling of a BMW there is no comparison. Nothing handles like a BMW, there is no body roll and there is such a great road feel through the wheel. Of course, Lambos and Ferraris have a great feel but there is a cost factor, the 911 feels great also but more of a dune buggy ride on rough surfaces. BMW does a good job on a mass produced car

u do seem to forget this is an SUV, it is suposed to be able to go offroad thats why u cant have a "fully stiff" suspencion. Can a bmw x5 m go offroad?? exacly, and that makes it pointless

This thing should be equipped with Airmatic DC, with it engaged in sport mode it should lower the vehicle slightly and firm up the chassis a bit. I can see nothing that can be described as firm in these pics. But maybe I'm wrong perhaps this SUV is truly flying around the corners setting records left and right. Who knows.

My 73 El Camino had less body roll than that, I think I may be right when I say that my 04 truck could outhandle this thing.

It will come equiped with the latest suspension adjustments as it is standard in this version but Mercedes always tests their equipment in all kind of situations and in this case I beliave they are testing the "confort" setting in extreme driving. I do like alot the fact that Mercedes tests its cars thinking of all situations, shows hard work and forward thinking

Even in the comfort setting the suspension will always revert to the sport mode temporarily when encountering severe evasive maneuvers to improve stability and safety.
