Jaguar is using the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the brand.  For the crowd of car fans, the English brand will be wheeling out the limited edition 2011 Jaguar XKR175 Coupe for its North American debut.

Limited to 175 units, the car uses a 510-horsepower (380-kW) supercharged V8 that generates up to 461 ft-lb (624 Nm) of torque.  Top speed is kept to an electronically-limited 174mph (280 km/h).  To keep the car under the driver's control, Jaguar installed a new rear diffuser, a big rear spoiler, along with a revised front air dam and remodeled side sills.

Painted in Ultimate Black, the car sits on 20-inch Kasuga alloy wheels.  Bright red brake calipers can be seen through the ten spokes of the wheels.  From inside the cabin, everyone will stay comfortable in the Warm Charcoal leather, touched up with Cranberry stitching.  The wood veneer trim is finished in Piano Black, and series number badging can be spotted on the door sills.

Those wanting to buy the car will have to shell out $104,500, which includes the destination charge.  The car will be on display throughout the entire Pebble Beach Automotive Weekend.

Jaguar Debuts Limited Edition XKR175 at Pebble Beach

MAHWAH, N.J., Aug. 12 - Jaguar celebrates its 75th anniversary today with the debut of the limited edition 2011 Jaguar XKR175 Coupe at the McCalls Motorworks Revival at the Monterey Jet Center during the Pebble Beach Automotive Weekend. This is the first appearance of the exclusive sports car in North America.

The XKR175 is powered by a supercharged V8 with 510hp and 461 lb-ft of torque and top speeds raised to an electronically-limited 174mph. To ensure that the XKR175 remains stable at high speeds, a revised aerodynamic package incorporates a new front air dam, new side sills, a new rear diffuser and a larger rear spoiler providing increased balance and a reduction in lift. New 20-inch Kasuga 10-spoke alloy wheels, red brake calipers and Ultimate Black exterior paint adorn the car's exterior.

Inside, door sill tread plates reading "XKR175 - 1 of 175" greet the driver and passenger while the leather is finished in Warm Charcoal with Cranberry stitching, all accompanied by Piano Black wood veneer.

Production of the XKR175 is limited to 175 vehicles at an MSRP of $104,500 (including destination charge). There will be 15 Jaguar XKR175 models for the Canadian market as well.

It's not a new version. It's just a standard XKR with a Speed Pack which is offered in Europe. For American's it must be a limited edition name to make them happy and proud.
