All I know is that Austin itself is not a bad city for this type of events. I know some rather ignorant people have some funny, stupid stereotypes about Texas but a big city in Texas is like any other big city in the world. And Austin, in particular, is a very vibrant and dynamic and world-class little gem in the American southwest. Saying otherwise is just being an ignorant bigot, just like those who say that Germans are Nazis or the French are cheese-eating monkeys. Austin has one of the world's best and largest universities, lots of hi tech companies, and is within driving distance of two of the world's most powerful metropolises, not to mention San Antonio, another really wonderful city. As long as the project goes through I'm sure it will pay off.
