Pagani Zonda R blistering Ring run on video - amazing new photos
Lapped in 6 minutes and 47 seconds
Pagani has released a video of the Zonda R completing the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6 minutes and 47 seconds.
Driven by Marc Basseng, the Zonda R beat the previous lap record of 6 minutes 48 seconds set by Michael Vergers in the Radical SR8LM.
As we have previously reported, the 1,070 kilogram (2,358 pound) Zonda R features a Mercedes-sourced 6.0-liter V12 engine which has been tuned to produce 740 hp (552 kW / 750 PS) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.7 seconds, before topping out at 351 km/h (218 mph).
Priced from €1.5 million, only 15 Zonda Rs were produced.

The Pagani is a LEGEND for me.... Italien design&spirit with a german heart... Naturally aspirated V12 made by AMG in Affalterbach. It can't be better than this.

What a lap! At about 2:50 and 5:00 are 2 times that I noticed that the drive wasn't 100% fluid. Stunning. But the lift at the bridge was a fail, I keep it flat through there on my PS2 :D That V12 just thunders along. Brilliant drive.

although i agree that this lap can be better, and im sure they?re gonna do it again, your ps2! comparison is ridiculous!... ps2=not realistic, noy subject to laws of physics.
