Hyundai releases first interior shot of all-new 2011 Elantra / Avante
2011 Hyundai Elantra / Avante interior 21.07.2010

Hyundai has released the first official interior photo of the all-new 2011 Hyundai Elantra.  Called the Avante in South Korea, the fifth-generation car will get a few nicer options not seen in spy photos we previously showed you.

Amongst these are the fairly large LCD infotainment screen, tied to a GPS screen in the demonstration photo.  As opposed to the seats replicating the two-tone scheme with different colored inserts, the leather front seats in this vehicle feature the same dark tones.

This car also has glossy black trim pieces in addition to the silver bits.  Other things we can spot include aluminum pedals, a multifuction steering wheel, a tachometer that displays a 6700 rpm redline, and a speedo that goes up to 240 km/h (149 mph).

The next generation 2011 Hyundai Avante will be released in Korea this August.  Look for the Elantra to show up in showrooms worldwide soon after.

HYUNDAI UNVEILS AN INTERIOR SHOT OF ALL-NEW AVENTE

Hyundai Motor Company unveils an interior shot of its all-new Avante (badged as Elantra in markets outside Korea), codenamed MD, ahead of the car's official launch in the Korea domestic market in August. With Hyundai's new design concept called the ‘Wind Craft,' the new Avante's interior projects a dynamic and futuristic image that is aimed at the younger generation.

In particular, the silver garnish that starts from the crash pad and leads to the console features a windblown shape that exudes an overall refined and dynamic image. High-glossy black and metallic colors used in the cabinet add more futuristic and high-tech looks to the interior of the all-new Avante.

too many broken, interrupted lines and contours (it's like someone hit the dashboard with a sledge hammer right in the middle)! I don't know but I think they've tried too much to come up with something new and original, but... sorry...

Gotta hand it to Hyundai, it looks wayyy better than the previous Elantra. I also think it looks considerably better than the Corolla.

I saw it in the flesh during one of the street events during the World Cup...and it is not a great looking car. It's trying too hard to make a statement... The new KIA's are much better...and cheaper!

Its brave i'll give em that, thats no reason for it not to be a success. Remember the KA, the advert for that it wasn't even clear what it was... but the KA turned out to be hit because it was soo different to everything else.

Looks too busy...the LCD-clock in the center dash reminds me on a Toyota from the 80?s. I don?t think that nav screen is large. About 6.5 inch, compared to 10.2 inch in a BMW not really impressive!

The floor mounted gas pedal is a nice Euro touch, but in general the layout and design is too busy & trying too hard to be different. Also, the 2 center A/C vents are positioned WAY too low. My 2008 Range Rover had the center vents (as does the 2010 model) low like this. What happens is that it freezes your hands, since the cold air hits your hands, even if you aim the vents high, to hit your face. It drove me crazy in my RR, and in hot weather, with a lot of A/C...it actually hurt! Bad design for both cars!!

This car looks nasty, anyone who buys these cars when you can buy a nice honda at about the same price doesn't make sense.

This car is already a success and this would do no damage. The sheer elegance and price of this car make it second to none.
