Fiat 500 Blackjack Special Edition announced
Features minor styling tweaks
Fiat has unveiled the special edition 500 Blackjack.
The car features matte black paint, glossy accents (door handles and mirror housings), 16-inch alloy wheels, and red brake calipers. Inside, the cabin is outfitted with leather upholstery and silver trim.
Under the hood, four different engines will be available. On the petrol side, there's the 900cc TwinAir with 84 bhp (63 kW / 85 PS), a 1.2-liter with 69 bhp (51 kW / 70 PS), and a 1.4-liter with 100 bhp (75 kW / 101 PS). If you're a diesel fan, Fiat offers the 95 bhp (71 kW / 96 PS) 1.3-liter Multijet II.
The car will be launched in September and available in "key European markets." In Italy, the top of the line version will be priced from €18,350.

Other matte black/silver cars are in more premium segments and you can somewhat justify the trouble of keeping that paint looking perfect. But won't this city car just attract scrapes and dings, resulting in a very awful finish? Any matte 500 should have been reserved for something with more power than the Abarthe SS.

Fiat needs to hurry and get this car over to the U.S. before competition stiffens. It's cute yet cool enough in sporting versions for guys (some guys anyway).

What competition? This car has been on sale in Europe for two years and still has no real competition other than the Mini.
I'll have one with Twinair engine please!
