Audi A7 Sportback debut July 26 announced
Introduction of new A7 will take place in Munich museum
Building anticipation for the unveiling of a new model is an automakers job, and Audi is definitely stretching things ahead of the debut of the A7 Sportback later this month.
The date is Monday July 26. The time is 8h30 pm (CEST). The location will be none other than an art museum in Munich - the Pinakothek der Moderne.
Other than that the Audi press release offers few details. But we know that they will take things as seriously under the hood as they do with their public presentations.
The A7 Sportback base-model will come with a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 with 272 PS (200 kW). A 4.2 liter V8 with 377 PS (277 kW) will round out the standard petrol offerings. On the diesel side will be a 3.0 liter TDI with 253 PS (184 kW) and a 4.2 liter TDI with 355 PS (258 kW). All powertrains will feature the 7-speed DSG gearbox driving the Quattro (all-wheel drive) system.
For future S and RS variants of the A7 Sportback Audi may opt for the 450 PS (331 kW) 4.2 liter V8 and the 5.0 liter TFSI V10 with 580 PS (427 kW), respectively.
Audi will likely provide full details on engines, availability and pricing when it brings the A7 to the Paris auto show this October.
