It is a Focus ST but I cant imagine why it would be there with the Volt since this plant is strictly for Volt batteries??

340 miles on one tank of gas? A Toyota Corolla from 1990 does twice as much.

I was also not thrilled to read that but what is the tank's capacity? That'll make a drastic statement.

The Volt's gas tank will hold ~30 liters (~8 galons), that is half of the BMW's capacity.

That makes it 42 MPG. Pathetic really after all this wait and hype.

Siawa, the gas mileage has yet to be determined. It will be much more than 42 mpg though. Not sure where you got that from.

I thought the Ampera was based on the Volt, not the other way around.

Said it before: 1912 Baker Electric 50 miles on full charge, from battery technology 100 years old (granted it wasn't doing 70 on the interstate, but still)! And Chevy is touting the best battery technology!?!? ...so battery tech, hasn't really gone anywhere in 100 years???

+1 man, totally interesting point. I will say, if the tank is truly only 8 gallons, then it will prove to be impressive considering my Fusion does 350 on 14.9 gallons. Time will tell.
