Forget about premium brand! Just build cars that is practical, returns good mileage, and fun to drive like the original Issigonis MINI. They should build something like the Toyota Aygo or Mitsubishi's brilliant 'i' car.

+1. That's almost exactly what I was going to say. I also think it should really have 4 seats.

The MINI "ME" might actually work for the brand. If they keep the interior quality of the actual MINI, they will have a winner. If my opinion matters, don't call it MINI Cityman, MINI Urbanman, MINI Miniman, MINI Minorman, MINI ???man. I'm tired of the names ending in ???man.

interior quality???? current MINI??? interior quality??? can someone please tell me what constitutes premium???? is it price???? is quality??? who defines quality??? what is this perceived quality??? why do we have "premium" cars??? Does it mean that MINI is premium because it's expensive than the B segment cars? Is the clio Sport RS/Peugeot GTi also premium??? they cost more than entry level premium MINI and pack more power??? is it the interior? are there levels of premiumness? is MINI premium but not premium compared to 3 Series? is 3 Series premium but not premium compared to Maserati? is Maserati premium but not premium compared to a Ferari? is a Ferarris premium but not premium compared to Lamborghini? is Lambhorghini premium but not premium according to a CCXR? or is CCXR premium but not premium compared to Veyron? What Who or Where is premium...some one please help me....I need to meet and know this premium in finer details no grey area just black or white and no blurs....

Ugly car. If they're going to make an entry-level Mini at least make it look like one and not a rip off of a Nissan Micra.

I remember seeing a BMW Badged Nano, so I asume that's what it is..

I always thought that the standard Mini is entry-level???? And than you can buy Coopers and JCW. These concepts above looks like toys, and I wouldn't risk to drive them in the city. I want to be alive longer. Anyway ridiculous idea by BMW, maybe they want to kill the brand with rubish Mini MPV, SUV and other versions

Oh, a MINI that's actually mini... that makes sense. Is this instead of the Megacity or is it the Megacity?

I've seen these pictures before... I think that's an older project - possibly from the late '90s. I'll do some google.

wow, you are very smart, how did you know that? The text says they have plans and you see some ready, 90s styled concept and think this is it?

Yep, those pics are off the Mini Spiritual and Mini Spiritual Too concept cars from 1997, designed by the Rover guys before the project got taken over by the BMW design team instead. I was saddaned at the time that these models didn't make it to production, as they outsmarted the Smart a few years before even that came along, but then I am not sure they would have been as popular as the Mini we ended up with. The feeling in BMW at the time was they were 10 years ahead of their time (so presumably 3 years behind the times now!).

you're really not very smart if you thought that this car on the photos is the actual prototype of a car about which they talk in the article.
