Engineers at German tunin firm Carlsson have released their latest package for the Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI Cabriolet.  The kit includes a significant power increase, along with exterior and interior alterations.

Although the look is nice, many customers will be drawn to the 21 percent increase in power.  Modifications to the V6 engine result in an output of 280 PS (206 kW), with maximum torque bumped up by 20 percent to a massive 648 Nm.  The changes come by way of a new engine control unit at a cost of €1,784, including a 19 percent value added tax.

With a more powerful engine, the engineers wanted the car to have an appropriate sound.  They installed dual stainless steel tailpipes with a silencer, which will cost consumers €2,319.  For another €355 you can buy sport springs that drop the car by 30-millimeters.

Exterior changes include a front spoiler and an RS-inspired lip, both available in carbon.  Also, a rear spoiler can be purchased.  All items are available separately, but are sold together for €1,698.  Pricing on the various alloy wheels, which range from 16 to 20 inches, tops out at €2,712.

Interior furnishings include leather and Alcantara gear selector, aluminum door accents, suede floor mats, and aluminum pedals.  Look for Carlsson E350 CDI Cabrio options to be available in due time.

I think E-Class Cabrio looks better when made by Brabus.

Both Brabus and Carlsson are perfect their own way and there's no purpose comparing them. It's just a matter of taste...
