A VW for the drag strip

MTE has unveiled a highly modified Volkswagen Golf IV R32.

Under the hood, the German tuner speciallizing in turbo conversions installed turbos plus intercooler along with larger injectors, modified cylinder head, forged pistons, high performance camshafts, and an optimized ECU. Thanks to these tweaks, the twin-turbo 3.2-liter V6 pushing 2.2 bar of boost with a compression ratio of 7.8:1 produces 790 hp (589 kW / 801 PS) and 1200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. This allows the car to run the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds at 216 km/h (134 mph).

To cope with the abundance of power, MTE added a Sachs two-disc sintered clutch in addition to a KW Coilover 'Club Sport' suspension, semi-slick tires, and a high-performance braking system (with 360mm discs and six-piston Brembo calipers).

That is most definitely the 24v V6 - look at the red HT Leads for the number of cylinders. I'd guess thats quite a quick Golf!

he's a monster! cool camoflage-look and impressive specs. The conception reminds me to the Dahlback Golf Mk4 RSI with 2,2 litre straight-5 Audi-engine and 900 PS

If the Golf W12 concept is anything to go by, lots of power on a short wheel base is not a good mix. Looks good though!

undderstatement of the year, right here on WCF's: 'MTE has unveiled a highly modified Volkswagen Golf IV R32.' Substitute 'highly' for 'insanely' and I think we have accuracy within the reporting realm :)
