BMW X6 2-door conversion by AmorTech announced

ArmorTech-Motors Group Coupe based on BMW X6
ArmorTech-Motors Group Coupe based on BMW X6

The ultimate SUV coupe

ArmorTech has attempted to do the impossible: make the BMW X6 attractive by making it more impractical.

While this is no easy task, the Russian tuner transformed the X6 into a coupe by pushing the B-pillar backwards, adding 250mm (9.8 inch) longer front doors, and moving the rear window forward 200mm (7.9 inches). As part of the conversion, the company also installed modified front seats which tilt and slide forward to allow passengers easy access to the rear seat.

If customers aren't happy with getting a standard X6 coupe, they can order engine upgrades, a sportier suspension, a modified exhaust, and a high performance braking system. Other optional accessories include aftermarket wheels, an aggressive body kit, leather / alcantara upholstery, a sport steering wheel, and unique interior trim.

No word on pricing, but ArmorTech says the vehicle will be available worldwide.

It's like I'm seeing an off-roader and a sports car at the same time! Oh wait... no it isn't.

I think this is over the top but if you have the money (X6 is expensive to start with ) I guess why not (obviously you eat the warranty). Many BMW purist don't like the X6 but BMW will make what sells. There are going to be more BMW's that look like the X6.

one thing is sure: the photoshop artist made a very nice work ... but if the car is so easy to build? I don't really believe it will be produced ever

One never appreciate how good the X6 is until he drives it. If it was an ugly useless car it would have never survived. But otherwise it is a power seller in the market. Every sigle dick who called the X6 ugly and useless you simply failed again and again :)

Very true, but some dicks can't handle that truth.

Of course it's a good car to drive. It's German. If someone in modern Germany was caught approving a new car that wasn't technically up to scratch, they would be shot dead and put in Ze Kooler. That doesn't change what it looks like, and it looks like a mangled hippo. Or does having a different opinion to you on something that's entirely subjective make me a 'dick'?

Well I have driven it and I thought it was mediocre at best and didn't feel that it fell into the "great ride" category. It's laughable, ugly and impractical, but a niche market player. I think the sales figures prove that people often will buy pretty much anything if they think others will think it's cool and hip.

so true, The x6 is one of the best looking SUV apart from the Evoque. Either way, between all the others SUV, CUV that BMw has came out with X6 is by far the better of them all, in style and performance.

Was way better in 4-door form. Making a 2-door version is pointless. The Z4 is much better and more practical if you want a coupe.

Huge fan of X6 but I don't like this, X6 is not Toyota RAV4, so keep it that way.

never liked the X6 anyways, and BMW didn't have the guts to do a 2 door x6. let's give this company credit.

exactly, the car is being marketed as a coupe verson of the X5... well, now it is actually that (rather than a CLS-like coupe-lines/pillars BS).

The original actually looked good. They just ruined it and made it look dumb. At the same time took what it was good for away.

Isn't it sickening enough there's already a 4-door version of this thing?

I would get the new baby Range Rover 2dr SUV (forgotten the name) over this hideous, impractical thingy at a much cheaper price.

now I've always loved the X6, but I have to admit seeing this 2door concept, is very well done. Hopefully BMW paying attention.

+1...i've always thought the x6 was great looking, and it is and it certainly looks like a beast on the road, in a good way.

the X6 is great , but too big for me. i hope they make the X4 soon and it won't be ugly like most BMWs these days.
