Limited edition X6 includes an aerodynamic kit and 21-inch wheels

BMW has announced a limited series X6 Performance Unlimited for the Japanese market.

There will be only 20 units of the model available to customers and deliveries set to begin at the end of the month.

Starting with an X6 fitted with the twin-turbo inline 6-banger coupled to the 8-speed automatic gearbox and with mild-hybrid technology, the X6 Performance Unlimited comes with a slew of special features borrowed from both the BMW Performance and BMW Individual options list. For the outside, these include an aerodynamic kit with front apron, side spoilers and a rear diffuser. The limited edition X6 also comes with 21-inch alloy wheels from BMW Performance in 10x21 (with 285/35R21 tires) and 11.5x21 (325/30R21) front and rear dimensions, respectively.

The exterior also gets a special Silver Pearl paint finish and a black kidney grill from BMW Performance.

Inside is a Nevada leather finish in Chateau color with aluminum detailing, including the pedals, and a smattering of BMW Performance badging here and there.

Price for the special edition is ¥9,450,000 (or $106,979/€84,466).

The X6 Performance Unlimited will also be on display at the BMW Group Studio in Tokyo from July 10 to July 20.

So it's basically an X6M except without the engine, handling...but with a similar kit and a high price tag. Pretty bad move...

This has the 750li engine. The 550i had a similar "m" kit too. So it's a step before the "m". I'm not sure if there is a x6m in japan any way.

Where is the wrong in commenting good about a car....?? We at-least commented on the car. You just state random crap that pertains to one of us and avoid the whole car subject. All you do is basically spam and bitch. If you don't agree with something, that's fine but don't spam up the comment section with stupid trash like always.

Maybe Japanese people want environmentally friendly cars so they made one for them or maybe the germans got so pissed off they lost the world cup, So BMW decided to do a stupid move in hopes to cheer them up.

First, doesn't Japan have a limit of how much horsepower a vehicle can have? (300 or so I remember). Second, "adding" aerodynamics to a brick ain't gonna make it any better - it'll still sink like a stone. Nothing like getting charged for show and no performance.

the Japanese had a gentlemen's agreement on what the horsepower limit of Japanese (not foreign) cars should be (just like the Germans have with the 250 km/h limitation) but now the agreement isn't respected anymore. second, are you an aerodynamics engineer, did you calculations prove that the aerodynamics kit is useless ?

For your information this car will outperform cars that you would never call a brick. 0-60 4.5 seconds, takes corners like there is no tomorrow. With brakes the size of your house it stop well. This car is said to be as fast as the M3 round the track. Its a beast. Call it what you want, this thing will embarrass lots of cars out there with its performance.

Very good looking car, with one of the best looking sets of wheels I've seen in a long while. It will sell out in a day in Japan. Spend a couple of hours at Tsutaya in Roppongi Hills and you will see one pass by at some point. Would be nice to see one on the road here in the US. Narco.
