The one thing I won't miss is the terrible interior of the old 5 Series, full of black plastics and horrible curves. The new 5 is much better interiorwise, but the exterior lacks sharpness - it's got a swollen nose and sleepy eyes.

Nothing was wrong with this series.. It was a awesome gas guzzler cause u can got to the market in it and carry around your family with 4.4 sec which is awesome idea... Lets see how they will shape the new one...

you can forget that this engine will last for another 25 years :D this is not E34 series with indestructable engine and chasis, ever E39 was more durable only the engine need a little more maintenance, but E60 series is badly enginered with frugal engine and flappy gearbox and they were greddy with the materials to built a strong chasis! grets from Schwaben aus Graben-Neudorf

It's looks much better than the E-class and the friggin fugly a6, Which means its a very good looking machine. And BTW anyone who say it's an ugly he should be ridiculously hating this car or he never saw it real life. This BMW looks 100% german and performs 100% german. Everybody hands down for the king of all sedans :).

People love to hate. This was the best 4door, 5seat saloon the world has ever seen. One of the best engines ever built (a 5L V10 that can rev to 8,500 rpm), a great chassis and handled great. For those of us that have actually driven one, we can appreciate it. Too bad the haters haven't driven it because they would have realized how wrong they are.
