Steeda 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 entry-level tuning package announced

Florida-based tuners Steeda Autosports have revealed a new tuning package for the Mustang that is now available for order. The Steeda 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 Sport Edition is an entry-level kit that focuses on performance and value.

The package comes complete with the car for less than $40,000. Beginning with a Mustang 5.0L GT, engineers add a new hood and rear wing for better aerodynamics, and a set of Sidewinder Graphics for a more unique look. Sport springs were also installed, as well as 9.5x20-inch Spyder wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05 performance tires.

But perhaps the best parts are the SCT Xcal3 handheld flash tuner (scan tool) and the new cold air intake. The two items combine to improve output on the engine to 450 horsepower (336 kW / 456 PS). The standard 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 makes 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
