Speed has NOTHING to do with the MX-5, NEVER has been, unless you have owned one you will NEVER get it. I like the exclusive Velocity Red also used in the RX-8, a first for the MX-5..this red really suits this Mazda. Classic with great looks. Value and the Most FUN you will EVER have without getting a speeding ticket. 900,000 owners can not be wrong. BTW: The MX-5 has the Highest Owner rate as a "Keeper" and Best Resale Value of ANY car made.

I'd prefer it without the Nagare Smile, but I still wouldn't say no to the R/C version in Velocity Red.

Straight line pace isn't everything. On a B-road (narrow, winding country lane), this car is in a class of one. Lotus's aren't very powerful either, and look at them.

Does not need more power, it's power to weight ratio is very good, beside Motor Trend Voted this car #3 in the Best US Drivers Car, even beat every American Muscle car.. http://www.motortrend.com/features/performance/112_0910_2009_best_drivers_car/2009_mazda_mx_5_miata.html

Producing special editions (standard car with exclusive number plate, interior enhancements, paint and wheels) are Mazda forte, so as to prolong its lifespan. Though it is not alone, Lotus does that too.
