I?m sure this pick-up will make Brazilian farmers very happy. A side from that, it?s just a chip work truck with VW logo.

I kinda feel like they are taking the piss when they give the lowly truck the 161hp / 295 lb-ft 2.0TDI, while N.America gets the 140-hp / 236 lb-ft of torque version only. I wonder if you could just "chip" the engine management to give you the higher ratings, from what I understand fuel economy remains unfettled.
Perhaps it's that the higher output may embarrass the 3.2 V6 rated at around 240 lb-ft, I don't know... just saying can't be fragile if they are putting the higher output TDI in a farmer's truck?

Amarok is a nice music player for Linux. Too bad people will now think of a boring VW first instead of a nice piece of open source software.

I believe that it will be also produced in Russia and will cost less than 30000 $
