Is MINI preparing to launch a John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman? Possibly, if these photos are any indication.
Published by Bigblogg, the pictures show a modified Countryman S in a wind tunnel. While we cannot be sure if this is an aerodynamic styling package or a JCW edition, the crossover features a revised front splitter, body color side sills (with vents), and a rear diffuser.
If this is a JCW Countryman, power would likely be provided by a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 211 hp (157 kW / 214 PS) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. On the other hand, if it's a Countryman S with a body kit, it has a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6-liter with 184 hp (137 kW / 187 PS) and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque.
