Orlando will be sold in Europe, Asia and Canada but not in the U.S.

More spy shots of the upcoming Chevy...sorry, Chevrolet Orlando, were up closer this time but the prototype is sporting more camouflage than on the last occasion.

The Orlando will be a 7-seat MPV based on the Orlando Concept which debuted at the Paris motor show in 2008. This current prototype has a more realistic, less boxy styling to it than that concept car.

These shots were snapped in Germany where the model will compete against the likes of the VW Touran and the Ford S-Max. Europe has become one of the fastest growing markets for the Chevrolet brand.

The Orlando will be sold in Europe, Asia and Canada but not in the United States market, though. Chevrolet says it will focus on the MPV/crossover and small-car segments there with its Equinox, Traverse and Malibu models.

One wonders why the Yaris Verso ever went out of production... Maybe its the camouflage, but imitation is the highest form of flattery right?

Pity that GM won't sell this model in the US market. Since it uses the "Ecotec" engine GM could have put in the 2.0 liter DI version of this engine rated at 160-165 bhp with the six speed automatic and it would have been a huge winner for American buyers.

"These shots were snapped in Germany where the model will compete against the likes of the VW Touran and the Ford S-Max." The Orlando will compete with the Ford Grand C-Max, not the S-Max.

Its bigger than the C-Max but smaller than the S-Max. But still a potential competitor. The Volt MPV5 concept, which is basically a slightly larger Orlando is right in line with the S-Max. We're not sure which size the Orlando will be made available at launch so we provided the Touran and S-Max as examples of potential competitors is those sizes.
