Diesels planned for next generation Mitsubishi EVO and Subaru STI

And the world is officially mad. Offering a diesel variant is fine - there's a Golf GTD, there are fast BMW diesels, not least the Alpina D3, and so on. Scrapping the petrol option altogether like Mitsubishi is allegedly planning is forgetting the rally routes. As is downsizing the STI, for that matter. I'd rather see the Lancer Evolution die and be replaced with a different performance model than be deliberately distanced from rally racing. Besides, it's 10 generations old. Maybe it is time to think about a change. If the 3 diamonds want to lower their CO2 levels, they should improve their volume cars. Apart from the low-volume, hugely expensive i-MiEV, I can't think of an eco model of theirs...

I'm trying to read the engine specs on the pedestal stand for the diesel boxer in the 08 Geneva picture. It looks like it says (110kw) 150PS and 350NM.

haven?t they heard of the MoVe engines on mercedes. the engines are a 3.5l v6 300hp with 177g/km of co2 and a 4.6 v8 with 435hp wich releases 224g/km. it?s the 3?generation of direct injection and figures like these in the range of an s-class model. Stop that diesel nonsense mitsubishi
