Another day, another recall

Chrysler will recall nearly 700,000 vehicles, worldwide, to fix brake and electrical problems.

The first recall involves 365,398 Jeep Wranglers - built between May 15th, 2006 and August 9th, 2010 - which have a poorly designed braking system. During normal driving, the front fender liner can rub against brake lines. Over time, the rubbing could cause the brake lines to leak which would result in reduced stopping power.

The second recall affects 318,974 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans made between February and September 2007. These vehicles have improperly placed wiring, in the sliding doors, which can have the insulation stripped off them. If this happens, two stripped wires can touch each other and start a fire.

Beginning later this month, owners can have their vehicles repaired free of charge.

Just goes to show that for Chrysler quality isn't important . It's all about making the money to stay afloat . For the better of the auto industry I hope one day they go down forever . Chrysler , Probably The Worst Built And Engineered Cars In The World . But let's not forget the morons at GM .

This does happen when running a business that is just profit orientated.

Hey, where is all the GM vs Toyota recall conspiracy theorists. Maybe Toyota is behind this one to get back at the American auto industry. Come on people use your demented imaginations and point out some useless coincidences. May I add that nobody had to die for Chrysler to start these recalls. Hopefully I fueled the need for some of these lunatics to speak up.

Sorry, when I'm out of work I get bored and the evil comes out. I'm not the biggest fan of Chrysler as well, although I do appreciate their history.

I never thought there was a plot by GM. I always thoughthat people who thought that were lame and stupid. However I DO believe that the Govvernment tried to spin a purely coincidental situation into a way yo drive sales to GM, so they can make money to pay them back, for the bail out. No one died in a Toyota due to a "recall." People have died, and when "recall" was tossed around, people came out of the woodworks to try and capitalize on a situation. PLease dont' mention NHTSA's complaints. They're the worst. No one should be allowed to file a complaint, if they can NOT provide a VIN. That way duplicate stories, or false situations won't be recorded. I wish someone would go through ALL the records and delete or make the necessary correction. Not just for Toyota, but for ALL manufacturers. I know its a lot, but the truth is the truth.

It's very unfortunate. I say Jeep ought to be purchased by another manufacturer that could keep its built quality and reliability in top shape. Mustangs, Jeep Wranglers, Corvettes. Classic iconic cars that most people like.
