It was/is such an annonymous car, Id forgotten about it before i saw the article so i guess its a good thing

It was always too close to the Elise. Apart form the review on fifth by JP I never heard anything about it.

I'm not surprised. Their "luxury" car - stand-in until the Evora or not - was literally a re-bodied Elise with some creature comforts squeezed into an uncomfortable interior. Not very luxurious. As the article says, it only makes sense now that the Evora exists to kill off a car with no place in the range.
Besides, the original Europa was way cooler.

Not surprising... since the Europa is basically a re-bodied Elise lux GT which is replaced (or succeeded) by its higher-performing and more comfortable (better-looking too) brother, the Evora.
Nevertheless, good day and goodbye...Europa!
