Pretty good for everyday commute but bad for long distance trip, I think the 75mpg Bimmer 320d will be more useful. Hmm...I guess negotiating the price is out of the question with a demand like that.

people like you comment on cars like this and STILL fail to realize that the car companies are trying to sell to the everyday worker in the world who travels into the city to work, then comes home from work. the distance travelled by people is usually very small, i'd say approx 10-15 km sometimes there and back. look at the SIZE of the car before you say that it is bad for distant driving lol. its SMALL therefore its most likely meant for the city lol. the beemer is still using gasoline... this car doesn't use any of that aka no pollution emitted by the car itself.
not hating, just saying :P

Awesome. No more more oil changes, belts or fluid checks. Almost a no maintence vehicle which will also save money

That's a nice (main) photo of Carlos Ghosn standing next to the Leaf...
...I can see the family resemblance! :)

I like this car (as my name suggests). It's a good first step. I also like the Pininfarina BlueCar which has similar specs and some cleverly integrated solar panels. Should be awesome for commuters, however, with everyone driving one of these the power grid will surely need to be beefed up to cope with the extra load.

This car seem to come out of left field, it seems GM has been touting the Volt since the day of my conception and they still don't have it to market... now they have lost 13000 potential buyers to Nissan.

Did you see the latest news? GM is working on a new powertrain for the 2nd gen Volt because the current one is "too costly". AND IT'S NOT EVEN OUT YET!!!

that's how GM wasted all their money/ taxpayer money on all unless-&-unsuccessful-research-&-development department...
