Ferrari 458 Italia Crash

Hit a Volkswagen Bora

A Ferrari 458 Italia has been involved in an accident in Wroclaw, Poland.

While details are limited, the crash occurred on May 20th at 1:45 PM local time. According to witnesses, the Ferrari was traveling at 60-70 mph (97-113 km/h), in a 30 mph (48 km/h) zone, when a bus made a sudden left turn in front of it. To avoid hitting it, the Ferrari veered left and crashed into a Volkswagen Bora.

While the accident was relatively minor, police determined the Ferrari driver (who's reportedly an Austrian in their early 20's) was at fault because they were speeding.

To refresh your memory, the 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 with 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. Backed up by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 458 rockets from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph).

this car doesn't come with ceramic brakes, wait do they? is it standard in the 458? the calipers are red and not in yellow. the car looks solid though.

The bus probably left a bus stop. I don't know about traffic rules in Poland, but at least here in Finland you have to make way for a bus leaving a bus stop if the speed limit is less than 80km/h. The bus driver probably expected the Ferrari to be doing 50km/h instead of over 100km/h and he left the bus stop as usual. So it's not by any way the bus drivers fault that the Ferrari driver hit the Bora.

Yeah, also in Poland You always have to let the bus first. Rules are the same everywhere (I guess ;) ) Driving over 100kmh nobody can be fully predictable.

I do sell drugs, no im joking. For the people that don't believe me I can send u endless videos and pictures. And anything else. Well you guys all were pretty close. Well when you grow up with a father that makes you get dressed in 45 seconds or less when u wake up every morning at the age of 7 you tend to be responsible and want to move out as soon as you can. First job I worked at was at Baja fresh that lasted about 2 days, I went on like that for a bout a year from job to job and then when I realized im 17 and have a girlfriend and have no money to take her to the movies or anywhere else I got myself a job at a car/wheel selling shop worked 7 days a week for 4 years straight working on commission, worked so much, lost my girlfriend and didn?t even go out anymore. Then economy hit now I go to school to become a CRNA, sold the bmw to pay for school, but still have the 06 black vette and the 07 range, but the range is a lease not a buy. I still have it for one more year then its gone.

Ohh im sorry i forgot to mention that i live in Los Angeles and to give you guys an idea on how the money was made, there were people that came in with a range rover and wanted a full strut grill and vents and the whole package with 22" HRE wheels. wheels with tires $9,800 strut kit about 7 grand and i used to work on 10% commission. about 1,600 from that and if anyone here lives in LA would know these cars were more common than a honda accord.

thanks for your autobiography.. although i think people give more shxt about the story than you.. i believe most people here have a unique story of earning their living and yours is nothing really special.. i kinda find your life to be quite tough to be one of the numerous to buy something you can't really afford.. and then have to sell it to pay for your tuition.. that's quite pathetic actually.

Dolceride, you are so full of shit. So you have a minimum of $120k worth of cars, and you sell wheels and aftermarket car parts? Do you think everyone is retarted? Don't even argue, since you say you will send pics, send me pics. michaelthomas036@yahoo.com. Put something in the photo so I know its you, like a piece of paper that says DOLCE, and I'll send you $100. I sell real estate, work on commission, and I know that if you have these cars, you have a three car garage, and should have a mortgage. Your story is just unbelieveable, To live within your means at 10% commission, highest tax bracket, 39.6%, you would need to sell about $1.5m worth of product annually. People that have that kind of drive and expertise at 23, don't talk the way you do.

what's the big deal if he's telling the truth? he's losing the cars soon anyway.. i can put my screenname on any car on the road and send u a photo too... that does not mean anything at all.

lmaoooo, you guys are really funny, first off when was i arguing? second ill prove it to you guys and i never planned on going to school when i got those cars, the reason i go to school now is so its easier for me down the line to go in the home healthcare business. but i will prove to whoever doesn't believe me if it will help you sleep better at nights, and why are you guys so surprised? most of my friends have better things than me

Having money doesnt equate having common sense and or driving skill. It sucks that the real drivers and people who would cherish something like that and would know how to handle it......usually cant afford it!!

Moral of the story is don't speed because everyone else around you is dumb, especially bus drivers (who aren't even liable in NYC).

Message to DolceRides: I'm genuinely interested to know what you do for a living, as I am turning 21 and am about to purchase a 2nd hand black 2006 Holden Caprice V8 and I would love to have half the cars that are featured on this website. As for the incident at hand, in the Australian state of Tasmania ( where I live ) drivers must, by law, give way to buses exiting a bus stop if the stop is located in speed zones of up to 60km/h ( about 38mph ).

honestly it was a little bit of luck and my passion for cars, i loved cars since the day i was born and was fortunate enough to get a job at a company with a great reputation to sell cars and wheels and aftermarket parts, but now i cant do that because of the economy so i go to school to become a CRNA, healthcare is the way to go

I don't understand it...the bus took a left turn, and the car is hit in it's left side? Was the bus facing the Ferrari when it forced it to hit the Bora? If so, that means the bus driver saw theFerrari coming..?

My friend studies in the same college as the crashed Italia owner. This guy got 911 from his parents after passing driving exam and then he had a Ferrari 430, 599 and this Italia is his third Ferrari. This guy is polish, but the family lives in Austria and Switzerland and all the exotic they have are registered there.

My how we get off the subject. This was why Enzo preferred to choose his customers. If you can't see a bus and don't know the road rules you must be foolish not Polish or you were pissed. Please buy a Tata. Come to South Africa guys, nobody has the right of way and nobody knows why. We have taxi mini busses held together with wire and steered with a 'vice grip'who account for the majority of our road deaths. If you buy a Ferrari you keep it in a garage here.
