I don't think that's the S7. If you look at the rev-counter, it only seems to go up to 6 or 7,000 rpm. I think that's a diesel version.

I think it is a turbocharged version as one of the front vent is open for cooling the additional radiator. That may also explain why it only revs up to 6.000 and not 8.000 as the N.A 4.2l does.

I also think it is a diesel. Rev counter goes only up to 6K not even 7k (check out the high res pic). A turbocharged/supercharged gasoline would still have rev counter going up to at least 7k even though the max power would come around 5.5K-6K. Also the steering wheel is by no means an "S" version. I doubt that the car shown with the exterior shots is the same car with the one with the interior shot.

@clash: Do you mean turbo-diesel, or turbo petrol? I ask because you are right that the TDI revs to about 6000. It is also possible that this is a turbo-petrol, as the 2004 RS6 redlines at about 6500 (which had a 4.2 V8 biturbo), but Audi's latest turbo-petrol engines, particularly the V10TT found in the current RS6 can rev passed 8000. The least likely possibility is that the S7 could be a high-powered diesel V8, or some sort of updated V10 TDI once found on the Touareg.

why would they use the V10? the new Touareg uses the cleaner and more powerful 4.2 V8 doesn't it?

It looks like Citroen C5?s interior? I wish that they could come out with something like the original Bauhaus TT instead; simple, classy, and tasteful

i agree with every one else that interior is not special at all, it could be any manufacturers car. i was kinda looking forward to the a7 but im looking forward to the cls a lot more than this now.

Agreed. I had very high hopes for the A7/S7, but I've been quite underwhelmed thus far. It almost seems like the CC has more panache than the A7. CLS is still king, although the 6-series 4-door coupe also looks promising.

The interior follows the concept design. I like it. Put some wood trim in there, I'll take 1.

it?s a A7 test mule/prototype, what do u guys expect? no need for shiny colors, chrome etc.
the A7 is slotted just below the A8, so i expect the interior in the final product to be as luxurious and outstanding as the new A8`s.
