The A7 doesn't look good imo... Not really elegant, too agressive and like all Audis totally similar to the other models. An A8 looks in front view like an A3 like an A4 like an A6 and so on...

even with camo on, much better looking than a 5 series GT. exhaust and retractable rear wing indicate it is an S7. the back reminds me of some old Astons. can`t wait

Wrong, new A8 has A4 front and A5 rear.
So if the S7 will compete with new CLS500 (4.6 TT 436 hp) then the 4.2L A7 will compete with which model of the CLS?

@Rotaermel, you are so boring my son, we was talking about this similarity thing not so far a way and the result was one, that all manufactuaries cars looks the same Cclass or Sclass, 3series or 7series, A4 or A8, vantage or rapide, Boxster or Panamera, Fiest or mondeo, yaris or Avensis, Golf or Passat. i'm sick talk about this thing! and even if you not agree, then why you care about that??? if you don't like then don't look at it and thats it......

Mercedes not. You can clearly distinguish a CLS from a C-Class or a S from an E class, due to the different front lights and even more the different side-line. Audis have all nearly the same side line.

S & RS just dont mix in this way.....

Well the high-revving 4.2 is a fairly common engine among Audi's performance vehicles. They're however tuned differently which suggests that this may very well be a detuned RS5 engine.

@droid_dtm when he reads the article: this is the competitor to the CLS. Not the A5 Sportback.
The RS7 will be one monster machine. That or the M5 will be a tough decision...

S7 will compete with CLS500 with 4.6L biturbo
RS7 will compete with CLS63 AMG with 5.5L Biturbo
RS7+ (if?) will compete with CLS63 AMG Performance Package with 5.5L Biturbo

I'll wait to reserve judgement until I can see the finished product. The side profile is beginning to grow on me with so much of the visual mass of the car on the rear haunches. Audi has also differentiated it quite successfully from the CLS. It will not be as elegant as the CLS but a little more sporting in character.
