2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon walkaround [Video]

Boasts 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque

Cadillac has released a new promotional video for the 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon.

Essentially a walk-around with Cadillac's Design Director, Clay Dean, the video highlights the key attributes of the high-performance wagon. Major features include a rear spoiler (with an integrated third brake light), 25.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity (58 cubic feet with the seats folded down), Recaro seats, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, and 19-inch wheels outfitted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

The CTS-V Sport Wagon is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 556 horsepower (415 kW / 564 PS) and 551 lb-ft (747 Nm) of torque. It will likely enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds (official performance data is still pending).

wouldn't get one over a C63 AMG or the upcoming RS4, but quite cool nonetheless.

I think this is priced a bit below comparable models from that trio.

Isn't the CTS-V the quickest 4 door around the N?rburgring. Oh and that was accomplished with the automatic transmission because that is what the engineer who drove it had on hand. I'm sure the wagon will do just fine since mechanically its nearly identical.

Performance wagons/avants/estates don't do well here. What makes Cadillac think theirs will succeed.

It's a low-volume bad daddy Caddy. They'll sell every one.

They'll stop producing it in two years for low sales. Mark my word.

A relative bargain for those looking at power and 4 doors. Its not at the top of my list. Just don't need anything close to this.

I appreciate the effort, I drove the sedan version of this car and let me tell you, it will give an M5 a run for its money being half the price? The suspension is very impressive for an American car, yet it is soft on road bumps and will not break your back riding it through pot holes and bumps. One thing I hate about caddy?s, is they tend to fall a part quick and ware and tare shows during its first 2 years. My final test is for its reliability in hot climates?. It beats Germans as the temp is steady and it?s A/C doesn?t fade in high temperatures. I still drive a German though

Whether you get a C63/M3 or RS4 it's all a matter of personal choice, however if performance is important to you, it would be wise ting to choose the caddy!
