ASI Invader based on Lexus LX 570 previewed
ASI Invader based on Lexus LX 570 rendering, 800, 07.05.2010

0-100 km/h in under 5 seconds

Japanese tuner ASI has a new programme for the Lexus LX 570 luxury SUV which makes it look and perform much more aggressively. Called the LX 570 Invader, ASI insists it is one of the most thrilling off-roaders out there.

Performance figures were not supplied but ASI says it has special plans for the 5.7-litre V8 motor. In standard form the engine produces 280 kW (381 hp/ 376 bhp) and is mated to a 6-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission.  However, ASI is promising at least 441 kW (592 bhp / 600 PS) and a 0 - 100 km/h sprint time of under 5 seconds. And about the C-Class MB. That has got to be the shittest benz in terms of quality, engine, etc... Drove a loaner C class for a month. Get the 328 or 335.

Having owned Lexus, Mercedes, BMW and Audi as well as Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, and having worked in the car business for years, and having seen and driven many cars and seen many of these brands up on lifts, looking in the engine compartments, looking at where car companies spend money to turn their cars into luxury cars, and where they skimp on build quality because the typical car buyer will never think to look in certain places, I have developed some strong opinions about certain makes. And Toyota is the best "illusion" company in the business. Mercedes and BMW do not doll up their cars from base models to luxury cars like everybody else does. Audi does doll up their cars from VW's but somehow they drive way better then the Japanese and American cars. And yes, you are crazy to buy a Bentley brand new as it is an Audi/VW underneath, hence the massive depreciation when you do buy one new. I like driving, and Toyotas are the worst driving cars made. They have had a good reliability history, so for people who value reliability over performance the Toyota is great. But to pay $40k, $50k, $60k and up for a dressed up Toyota (and make no mistake, that's what a Lexus is) is crazy. Put a brand new IS350 up on a lift next to a C300 M-B and a 328i BMW. You will immediately see why you are over-paying for your Lexus. The last time I drove a GS350 I couldn't believe how cheap some of the materials in the cabin felt, but the leather was nice and it had a backup camera, because Lexus knows that the suburban mom/dad who is going to buy this car will only notice the leather and certain features. And the car had massive understeer through corners (just like the IS250/350 - same platform derived from the Camry). So much so it completely killed the driving experience. I am sorry, I know you Lexus folks like your cars. But I can't stand them because to me they represent what the Japanese have always been best at - taking an idea that someone else came up with, and trying to make it better for cheaper, never having invented anything new themselves.

500lbman... Thanks for the idiot part... And as far as not knowing anything about cars "that's too broad of a statement” I got that one to beat the hell out of in the dessert... Would I take my Cayenne turbo s, my ML63, my G55, or my RR sport offroading??? It does not make sense don't you think!!! I value and respect each vehicle for what it is, no more, no less… Lfa… Buying a Lexus in the 90’s made perfect sense as prices were still legitimate and introductory in a way. And as long as you’re happy with what you got, who cares, you paid for it ;)

i own a lexus, does that make me an idiot and not know anything about cars? And judging by your comment 500lbman that also makes the bentley continetal an overpriced vw phaeton my dad still owns a 1989 lexus ls400 from new and i learnt how to drive in it and never once has he complained about it or have i found fault with it and i myself own an is300. these cars may be boring to drive but they never go wrong

Anyone that would pay $85,000 for a Lexus is an idiot. The styling is out of proportion and bulbous and some of the switchgear feels incredibly cheap. For that money every switch in the cabin should feel heavy and well damped. The LX570 rides nice and is quiet, but jeez people! It's an over-sized-over-priced Toyota Tundra with adjustable air suspension. It even has the same motor right out of the $25,000 Tundra. Lexus does a fine job of making people who don't know anything about cars feel like they bought a "high-end luxury car". Put a Lexus on a lift and go look underneath. Then put a real high end luxury car (German - take your pick which brand) up on a lift next to it. Now look closely and tell me which car is built better.

i do agree that lexus products are a little more expensive than the competition, but the reason for that is because they come with alot of kit standard and there is a lack of choice of options on there products making the list price quite high. i like both german and japanese and my 2 favourite german cars the e46 3-series and the mk4 golf. they have that something about them.

loool... I thought I'd try the car since it looked nice, and because it is really good off-road… I don’t really hate it per say, but I don’t agree with some people giving it too much hype for what it is… And for the price, it should be bad ass… Similar story I bought a 2009 LS460 and sold it 4 months later…. It was very reliable, AC is amazing, but for the price, it felt cheap! That pissed me off…. Slam the door in any Lexus and listen, then do the same in a, lets say a 3er BMW… I like Japanese cars, but not when compared to European.

lfa.... I have a 2010 Lexus 570.... I hate it... it is noisy when u hit the street cat eyes, it clunks when you hit a pot hole, & I can truly bend the body by pressing on it with my thumb... Not to mention that my friend wrecked his and there was nothing left of it. It just fell apart “I have the pictures”… On the other hand it has a bad ass A/C (in our hot climate) and is unstoppable in the dessert “I am talking about biiiiig red sand dunes”… Point is, I always talk about cars I have or have tried… And by the way they didn’t recall the LX570 but it’ll flip in a second if you’re not paying attention. Don’t tell me driver this or driver that “I do my track time on regular basis” Now you chill out!!! :)

Don't be so stuck up, you are only a consumer and by your nick, I see that you’re a dreamer..... Chill out... By the way, this thing looks like a Laforza… What is offroading in a standard form??? The standard offroading form is: ground clearance, power, suspension, big tires, and whatever I missed…. All of which this SUV does not have
