MINI Cooper race car crashes into crowd of spectators [Video]
Three people injured
A MINI Cooper race car crashed into a crowd of spectators at the MINI Challenge in Ipswich, Australia.
The driver, Kain Magro, lost control and rolled several times before landing in a crowd of frightened onlookers. Three people were injured - the driver and two spectators.
According to Chris Brown, marketing manager of MINI Australia, "BMW Group takes safety very very very seriously. We like to ensure when we're racing, we're doing it as safely as possible."
The Australian Controlling Body of Motorsports is currently investigating the accident.

There was another Mini Spin out crash the next day on the same event/track/corner. Not great advertising for the Mini as a race car!

my deepest sympathies go to the injured parties. all the more reason why the use of driver-operated , dash-mounted iPad should be declared criminally liable and be outrightly banned for installation/use on board automobiles .
