When will the Holden version come? Please replace Epica with this model, Holden may need a bit smaller size from Commodore to fight against Mondeo, mazda 6 and Accord Euro. Put this elegance saloon with diesel engine is really essential as oil price goes up.

Re-badged as a Daewoo? Now I can get an idea in my head as to how good Buicks are.

Mikeado, you're the man! Thanx bro for the explanations, ... but I know exactely why they're using common platforms and so on. I was a little pathetic remembering some better days when building countless cars on the same platforms wasn't such a large scale phenomenon. And yes, Skodas are incredible well build these days...

I'm getting dizzy. why gm, why daewoo, why chevrolet, why opel, why holden, why vauxhall, why buick - it's the same thing!it's like samasung making cars for renault. why seat, why skoda, why audi 'cause they all are nothing but volkswagen - and so on and on. why a thousand car makers and only a few truly different ... cars? I have a passion for cars, not for some stupid economics, marketing solutions and political interests. I'd go for a Buick because they used to build incredible robust cars..thousands of years ago; I'd go for a vw 'cause it's frugal an reliable. I'd like a Merc because of its safety features, and you got the ideea: I don't like to buy the same s*** wrapped in so many ways to look something else for different eyes... and different buyers. every carmaker, even the most pathetic of them, has to have a suv, a mini, a sports model and so on. why is that, exactely?

Re-badging I don't like because that's just plain lazy, but VW use platform-sharing to save money that they might put towards something better. Like a new Bugatti :-). At least they let the VAG companies do their own designing - SEATs, for instance, look nothing like ?kodas - and when the platforms they're re-using are very good, it's hardly a bad thing. ?koda's reputation has completely changed since entry into VAG*. Plus each company uses the same basic platform, but they usually put their own spin on it (not just the marketing kind).
As for all making the same range of cars (Hatchback, SUV, etc), that's just how the world is; competitive. Everyone's trying to pinch sales off everyone else.

GM , For God Sake wake up , its the chevrolet cruze and it was originally generated by Daewoo in KORIA and was exported to many areas in the world as chevy , now they says its becomming a daewoo then buick and later on im sure it will be opel and later later on it will be vaxhhall . its the same silly story that GM play , but it becomes very old and silly and the clients is no more dumped by this naming startegy that GM applies .
one model with many many names but in the different in the tail and front lights , this is there strategy , i dont think they will make a good return if they still with this idea or strategy . . . GM young customers is no more stupid and the Competition is very hard in the market now . just wake up for god sake .
Note :- regarding the current GM strategy this model will be canceled after 5 years and every one will loose more than 50% from the price :)

@Bilal-Barhum,
This is not a Cruze, the Daewoo Alpheon/Buick LaCrosse is larger than an Opel Insignia/Buick Regal and Toyota Camry. Its built on a LWB version of the Epsilon II platform, the Cruze is built on the compact Delta II platform which it shares with the new Astra.

@Bilal-Barhum,
There are some similarities (they are both GM cars), but they are not the same.

"ok but why it have the exact copy of the interior of the Chevy Cruze ?? please google the interior of the Cruze with this one."
Its a GMs design language, known as the wing and blade design cue. It GMs interior's answer to ford's kinetic design.

I hope they do better with this than Daewoo's last attempt in this segment with the re-badged Holdens.
There more Daewoo Arcadias (rebadged Honda Legend from the 90's) on the road than that car...
I'd even dare to say there are more Bentley's around than the current offering...
