Ferrari F430 Bursts into flames in Singapore

Appears to be a total loss

WCF has a tragic death to report, a Ferrari F430 Spider burst into flames in Singapore.

While details are limited, the fire occurred on April 28th at 11:56 am (local time). The Singapore Civil Defense Force responded by sending a fire engine and a 'Red Rhino' (a small ATV with a water pump).

Despite the SCDF's quick response, the car appears to be a total loss. Virtually everything, from the A-pillar back, was transformed into molten metal. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Thanks to WCF member Ave_GTI for the tip!

To be expected with any Italian Made car with their wiring reliability or lack of, anyway that is what I will blame as I have seen this before in A pillar back fires....a wiring short...Fiat's are/were well regarded to sizzle-out in Hot Humid climates.

I have seen the same thing happen to a F430 2 years ago in south Florida. The Ferrari's do not like warm weather and city driving.

Well its not only ferrari can't handle warm weather, its all supercars can't handle hot temperature if they are idle.

Don't forget the bumper and bonnet (or "hood" depending on where one is). They could be sold to someone who modified their F430 and then sew sense. Or a footballer who crashed it.

A little body filler, new tires it will be back on the road in no time. Too bad, it's a beautiful car.

Hmm. No suprise there. I'm more suprised that it's been so long since I last heard of a Ferrari eruption. Iceland has got nothin' on a Ferrari and this F430 is out to set the record straight for those doubters!
