Bentley Azure convertible replacement to be based on Mulsanne
2010 Bentley Mulsanne Official Unveiling at the Volkswagen Group preview evening on the eve of the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show
Will likely be launched next year
Bentley is preparing to introduce a new Azure convertible, based on the Mulsanne.
Likely to be launched next summer, the 2011 (or 2012) Azure will feature bold styling, two doors, and a canvas roof. Unfortunately, the Mulsanne's controversial front end will be part of the package.
Power will be provided by a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V8 with 505 bhp (377 kW / 512 PS) and 1020 Nm (752 lb-ft) of torque. It will allow the Azure to run from 0-60 mph in under 5.5 seconds (the Mulsanne does the same task in 5.1 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 184 mph).

I'm not to happy about the design of this new Mulsanne, especially the front end is preety weird. And I also think that the Brooklands looked better.

Frankly, I quite like Mulsanne's face. It looks classy and a proper Bentley. But I dislike the rest of the car, it is just way too old fashion for my likings. The 2003 Azure Final Series is one of the best recent Bentleys of all. The cockpit is like a jet fighter!

Who's copying who? I thought that this was China's Geely verison of Bentley at first glance. Wow, that's a face only a mother could love. Why so human skull-ish? Azure? More like Skeletor!
