Audi R8 V10 Clubsport latest spy shots on the Ring

Spies at the Nürburgring in Germany have been quite busy lately, literally catching one car after the next as vehicle testing season is now in full swing.  Most recently, they caught pics of the Audi R8 V10 Clubsport looking very near to production, but with a mysterious bit of camouflage over the rear window.

Just what exactly is under the vinyl wrap, we don't know.  It could be a new engine, but more likely it covers up evidence of any new plain-view modifications that were made to the current V10.

Similar to the last time we saw the car testing, this model has aerodynamic changes at the front, new side sills, and a fixed rear wing at the back.  A Clubsport version would also likely dump all-wheel drive for a sizable weight savings.

Seems like ure confused, R8 is in fact a nice car but it is and will always remain a cheap lamborguini and thats the end of it.....VW at its best is rebadging everything, make a more expensive version of this a cheaper one of that and we keep selling cars, great just great news for the ignorant

@velsatis - Aside from powerplant the two cars and brands couldn't be more different. The fact is, the R8 is truly a great car and not a re-badging victim. And your attempt to slander with a VW reference is weak and impotent.

@ velsatis , the R8 V8 and the first Gallardo only share 15% of the components, the R10 V10 and the current Gallardo share less apart from the engines which are similar. VW shares engineering, GM does shameless redadges, it's not the same thing.

@velsatis Wiki is not my god but apparently yours. But don't stop believing the R8 is a re-badge. Did someone in an Audi back over your bike?

velsatis you are a muppet!! the r8 and the gallardo are so different, they are like chalk and cheese. r8 is a perfectly usable everyday car, and is a bargain. yeah the gallardo may have more flair, but as a rounded package it still cannot beat the r8, the r8 wins in v8 and v10 form. i think you were hit by a audi when you were younger and your eyes were somehow damaged as well as your brain. and wikipedia is only as good as the info they put in it! DO YOU WORK FOR WIKIPEDIA BY ANY CHANCE?
