Porsche Panamera + Taxi = Taxamera [Video]

The next time you hail a cab in Germany, don't be surprised if you're greeted by a Porsche Panamera Turbo.

Outfitted in the compulsory light beige ivory color with a roof sign and a taxi meter, the €160,000 Panamera - lovely dubbed the Taxamera - is probably the most powerful taxi in the world.

While the idea sounds crazy, it kind of makes sense. The Panamera has spacious seating and a large luggage capacity. Of course, there is a downside: with all-wheel drive and a 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) biturbo 4.8-liter V8, the Panamera has a combined fuel consumption of 12.2 liters per 100 km (23.2 mpg UK / 19.3 mpg US).

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read. this is just a publicity stunt at best. Has anyone ever seen what 5 years of survice does to a regular taxi. no company would invest in this unless for pure publicity. Did they just buy one, to add to their fleet of destroyed early 2000 pink mercades? Ive got a great Idea!! make a bugatti veryon bus!

A new Munich Taxi-Porsche Panamera + Taxi = Taxamera. In case of leather fitted interior it might be called a "Taxiderma" as well.

Here is a little overview and translation of this video: They (AutoBild Magazine) put this car in a "Taxamera Outfit" for 3 days to see the reactions of passengers in Hamburg, Germany! They say that the money they got in these 3 days for driving people doesn?t cover the expenses of transforming the Panamera into a "Taxamera". It cost 3000 Euro to put the car into a "Taxi look"... What else: Expert round with other taxi drivers (including facts like fuel consumption (20 L. on 100km), price and extras of this car). That?s a short overview of this video... Anything else you will see on the reactions and faces of the passengers...
