I can already visualise it, and it looks good. It'd better sound as good as the old 6.2 as well...

The reason is that they brought in the 6.2L as a replacement for the N/A 5.5L. But, because of new emission standards, they have to make a more efficient engine, and a 5.5L Turbo does the job nicely. By the way, the next 5.5L has no connection with the previous generation 5.5L. The new one has been engineered from the ground up. Also, for some stupid marketing reason, they will continue to call the 5.5L AMGs 63...

The previous 5.5 was available supercharged and naturally aspirated. And anybody who thinks that this new engine is a ground up model and doesn't leverage existing/past MB engine architecture is kidding themselves.

The stupidest thing about this car is the optional 30bhp. People who buy this car want to go fast and therefore want the horsepower. I hate how standard specs are optional.

I can see the outline on the bumpers & it might have a e class tail lights, s63 diffuser & those front LED lights. Are those extra tail lights on the diffuser & the whole car looks better at the moment.

it doesnt seem like its twin turbo V8, looks like the 6.2 lives. i dont see intercooler air vents, and i dont think the center is an intercooler air vent.. i hope they keep the 6.2 just for the sound of it.. guys do u know turbo charged cars get less exhaust noise due to air from the sucking turbos... just like cayenne and 997 turbo and CL65 and RS6 and much more others u dont really hear the road of the car is just AIR SSSSHHHHH... i guess its a GOOD BYE to the greatest sound of all time car..

Well considering the current twin turbo's in the AMG range don't have more obscene cooling intakes compared to the naturally aspirated models, I doubt this will be any different. The lower air intake looks sufficient in any case for a development vehicle. The side intakes (covered) are likely for auxiliary cooling of brakes, oil, fluids, etc BTW An exhaust note has more to do with how the exhaust is tuned than the engine pushing the air through it. Active exhausts are fairly commonplace now. I would expect to see them on most if not all AMG cars into the future.

LED daytime running lights are dangerously close to becoming as aggressive and sporty as a peanut butter and jam sandwich. And I?m pretty sure that they do not deliver additional LED-DRL horsepower. That aside this car promises to be a beauty.

The side pic worries me a bit but overall it seems pretty well done... yes please show something else but these LED... there must be other inovative ways using LED for daylights ...

It looks awesome, can't wait to see it without disguise. Only thing I don't like are the side mirrors, hope they'll put others more appropriate with the design of the car on the final version.

this is just my opinion and i hope it pans out like this but, i hope this engine (5.5 twinturbo) is the reason why mercedes did not launch an E-class coupe AMG. I hope that in the years to come they do with this engine.

I beliave the reason Mercedes didn't lunch the E-Coupe AMG was because this biturbo V8 to come wasn't ready yet, so they didn't want to lunch it with the one to be replaced 6.2, and soon after make lunch it again with the new 5.5, it just would't make sence. Be sure soon enough we will have the 5.5 AMG Coupe

Only thing about that 7 you might know is grill. Oh' You like that grill! Is it their idea on "Vorsprung der Vormgestaltung"?

I was hoping that those swelled up modellings on rear fenders, so typical in fifties car design, will disappear along with camo at least on that car.

I did not wrote or inserted previous comment twice so that second one will be edited: This design language is about to ruin the CLS class too. Saw new E-coupe in traffic and I am sure now CLK was a gorgeous car.
