Lamborghini Jota Caught from All Angles Testing in Southern Europe

Lamborghini Jota Caught from All Angles Testing in Southern Europe

It appears the Lamborghini Murcielago gets replaced by a car speculated to go by the name Jota. These latest spy pictures of the upcoming super car, taken in the warm south of Europe, show pretty much every major angle. Not too long ago the car was spied testing under deep winter conditions at the Arctic circle.

Visible details include big side air intakes and aerodynamic parts on the doors. Overall the Jota appears to sit lower than the Murcielago, and will presumably weighs less too, thanks to the use aluminium and carbon fibre. Styling inspiration is being provided by the Estoque concept and Reventon.

What will not change is the number of cylinders boasted by the engine. Suggestions point to a direct injection V12 possibly hosting around 700 horses in its bowels. Drive should be through all four wheels using the Haldex AWD system.

Will probably be fast, good looking, awesome, etc. But they might want to consider a name change for those models sold where Spanish is spoken: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jota

I love Lamborghinis, especially the final series of the Diablos. This one however is in fact a fat Gallardo with two extra cylinders, in another words.. this car is more German than Italian. I'll reseve my final comment when the car is unveiled.

Be Careful driving this one, looks like those side intakes could suck in birdlife or even small children waiting at the traffic lights....

That camo better be hiding some amazing panels coz it doesn't look much chop like that. There are high expectations following the Murcielago, one of the best looking supercars ever and still looking as fresh as ever IMO.

Let's hope the side intakes are not for real. If they are, we know where one of those guys who use to design Hotwheels for Mattel has landed.

the name 'jota' was used only in race ready lamborghini's and shoul dnot brace a production model. jota should be a more hardcore moniker from superleggera
