Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has released the first image of a new roller coaster that races two sets of passengers against each other on parallel tracks.  The GT roller coaster uses carriages of four individual seats to bring people around the rails.

Each coach on the ride is fashioned after the Ferrari F430 Spider.  The GT ride is one of twenty attractions at the theme park, and one of two rides unique to the location.

Ferrari World is still under construction on the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.  The first theme park named for the automaker is being built on over 135 acres of land in the emirate.  It is scheduled to open in the latter half of 2010.

its called diversification. The park is also located right next to the YAS island F1 track that hosts the finale for the F1 GP and has a 7 year contract to do so. Apart from that the track is praised as one of the best around. Most of you all are just haters and cant stand to see Arab anything... i dont blame you I blame your media for twisting your perceptions.

Here we go again with the "evil and infidel media"...., sorry but we ain't buying this bs. Ferrari(like other many legendary supercars) should be respected like a cult car, it is on object of desire, of admiration, a mark on the scale of human evolution, not a theme for a tacky roller coaster. Oh, well Ferrari is reducing it's own brand value by allowing this thing to exist.

Probably also didn't know that the owner of the Burj Dubai was almost in liquidation. Even Abu Dhabi hasn't endless money.

Burj Dubai, know called burj Khalifa is owned by EMAAR PJSC so owned by every person who has bought one share. you can become part owner for just over a dollar btw.

And AD's money is not directly related to EMAAR other than any equity they own in EMAAR.

Oh yeah and FYI: Mubadala, a AD owned PJSC owns 5% of Ferrari...

I am embarrassed to see some of the mentalities on this site... Many have hate for Arabs or are simply jealous, cuz they work like dogs and end up having to give half of their pay cheques to their governments... If you don't like it, simply move, or better, go get a job in the UAE if you think you deserve a piece of the pie!!! Haters know themselves.... Peace to the Middle East.... lol

Well i am an american... I dont think ur point is practical... But i do believe people talk shit abt arab ppl and the expensive tuned cars built for arabs like x5 M and X6 M.... I dont think its wrong to buy those cars if u have money...but u r talking trash...

People talk shit because they're jealous. Wealth is always relative; it's stupid to point fingers and cry foul.

However this 'theme park' would be much more convincing if it were in Maranello.

Jealous, yeah right, I don't want a shame of the car world like this, anywhere near where I live. If I see stupid, ugly, tacky or lame things I say it, no matter if they are made by Arabs, Muslims, Americans, Japanese, Vikings or Martians. I don't care if you like it or not.

Much respect to all nations from the Middle East, we simply expect the same... "Expensive tuned cars built for Arabs" loool.... German car, built in the US, for Arabs!! What a market niche… Oooh by the way, I hope all of you can afford these cars one day.... Not run outa money like some wish!!! Duh….. Be a Hippie, play nice…

Why would anyone sit back and wait till the Middle East runs out of money? Is there money putting anyone back? The ferrari coach wasn't designed by the emirate, but by ferrari themselves. If your going to hate, the least you can do is direct it towards the people responsible.

Abu Dhabi is investing money for turism and these attractions will help bring money in . Also it is becoming a multi culture pot . I wish Abu Dhabi stays safe and clean of crimes .

lol jealousy? Has nothing to do with that. They could give me a jackpot and I still wouldn't live there. Tourism investments? They don't have the T of Tourism. Go over there and go for a tour. One of the most over-rated, artificial, aesthetically illusory places of the world. And yes i've been there twice. Money doesn't open all doors nor buy taste and brains.
