It's a good bike, but whether it's M or not depends on whom the rider is, not the bike.

For this price you can buy a carbon bike with full XTR groupset, under 9 kg. Or the same bike for third price.

Lightweight construction: chek. Rear wheel drive : check. Leather seat(s): check. No radio, electric windows, etc. : check. THIS MUST BE A FUTURE CSL MODEL!!! How will it move? "Acording to BMW's engine downsizing policy: You will push pedals, and drink red bull..." DARN HIPPIES!!!!!

serious cycling? no serious cycling enthusiast will be caught in public on this thing, the last 4 bikes we have been forced to take, have all fallen apart before a customer touched them

What?? Lightweight? This bike is crap. Its not only heavy for a hardtail, it has some of the industries cheapest components. Selling this as a high end bike is as wrong as selling the x6 as a good looking car. Its just wrong..

Well, BMW is already selling the X6 as a good looking car. And you're right, it is outright wrong.

This bike is only worth one third of it`s price, all your really paying for are the M badges.

it's not a performance bike, that's for sure. everybody is in the bike business nowadays (porsche, mercedes-benz, those guys from that F1 design company and so on) so why not a bmw bike? of course it will cost a lot 'cause it's made for collections and showrooms only.

Weird, my cheap in comparsion Cannondale weighs 15lbs..Also a hard-tail with graphite frame. But what i dont get is it has 80mm shocks with road tires...It's like a mountain bike with street circuit tires, terrible on the street and impossible to ride on the trails..FAIL!

Revealed?? LOL! What a joke. This is why Cannondale didn't succeed in motorcycles. Stick with what you know BMW: stuff with a motor. This is about as good as that "Hummer" bike I saw on the front of a public bus today. Nice showroom bike....
