That was a big jump in price from during the first and second year. It's too bad it is no longer in the R34's price range.

I don't think it's that expensive, considering it's as fast as a 200.000 $ Ferrari or Aston.

Yeah but in all fairness, considering "retuned suspension, strengthened rear bushings, darker wheel center caps, and a thicker layer of clear coat on the front and rear fascias. Other updates include auto on/off headlights, speed-sensitive windshield wipers, USB/iPod/Bluetooth connectivity, and a navigation system with XM NavTraffic and NavWeather capability." , a 1000 dollar price increase is a bargain, imho.

i see no problem here. once you cross the line of paying for a $50K car I'm not convinced this type of price change is that big a deal.
