Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute Concept Car

Automotive designer Eduard Gray has sent in some renderings of his ideas for the first car to come from the Saab purchase of Spyker.  Based near Saab headquarters in Trollhättan, Sweden, Gray believes the drawings could land him a job with the Saab Design Studio Team.

The union of Saab and Spyker presents a unique opportunity to create a design that takes the best of each brand and distills their qualities into a single product," he said.  Gray, who is Dutch and English, points out that a truly unique car can be assembled with the low-slung mid-engine Spyker supercar chassis and the design language at Saab.

Indeed, his six drawings of the Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute shows elements of both companies.  Gray calls the work "a quick expression of my optimism for the future of the brand."

Let us know what you think of his renderings in the comments below.

Nice, but it's looks like Bugatti Veyron, Audi R8 or VW W12. Nothing new and fresh. GT by Citroen... this is beautiful concept!

It is hard to spot anything that says "Saab" in this rendering.

True, the only thing I can see that nods towards either of them is the set of Aero X wheels.

Nothing really unique but it's clean and well-executed.

The lights/grille are too narrow for my liking, but someone needs to tell Eduard Gray to send this in to Namco (who make the Ridge Racer series). It just looks like a Ridge Racer car. I think it's the shape of the thing, particularly at the rear. It does look A LOT like an Acura concept, like radmeister said. Maybe if the ASC (NSX successor) were mid-engined...

TVR owners-like enthusiasm is about to be visible. Poor Saab.

Even the badge looks Hondaesque! However, slick job. Reminds me a bit of the ill-fated Aero X with 400bhp BITURBO V8 powerplant! Must be the white paint job. This is far better conceptual direction; hope THIS becomes PRODUCTION double fast!
