This is a beautiful design, they need to change a few small design cues and it'll be perfect. About time Porsche did something different.

Front lights look a bit old fashioned. They should save weight by letting electric motor and batteries go to hell with Prius.

I couldn't agree more. A bunch of extra weight and complexity for a small gain in efficiency makes no sense for a sport car. Make the next Boxster look like this and you have a winner. If you want efficiency than put a turbo or two on a four cylinder boxer and use lots of aluminum and carbon fiber in the chassis and/or body.

the front lights look old fashioned because the car is meant to look like the '60s and '70s racers. being a hybrid is the whole point of the car. anyone can make a 1000hp engine nowadays. not everyone can make a super efficient hypercar.

Excellent news!! Porsche needs a new halo car and this fits the bill perfectly.

Nice, but other than the CGT-style deck intakes and the emblem on the front it does not look like a Porsche.

A quick glance and I would have thought it is a Lotus.

I like how the future outsides mirrors looking like a twig. The windshied pillars definitely need some serious reinforcement engineering unless one wishes to see a stretch of the driver's scalp skin on the asphalt in the event of a rollover.

Im gona have to disagree with you and say it definitely resembles the 917 and Spyder Rs. Crazy right. Racing heritage.

@ LifeLongCarGuy , it does not look like a 911 , but it looks 100% like a Porsche. it looks like the 904, 906, 907, 908 , 917.

I love how the design resembles the Porsche 904 from back in the 60's.

I like how the future outside mirrors looks like nothing but a twig.

Im pretty sure those twig mirrors are actually cameras.

Um....yeah! That would only make sense! I for one, went nuts over it. I really love it. Naturally they'd do some form of editing.

This is the least they can do !! Every one can anounce a 3 liters consumption for 700 HP and never prove it... Let's prove it Porsche !

If only porsche could get it into their heads that this a good looking car. people say the point of the 911 is that it never changes it`s look, but common, 40 years on a design that doesn`t even look good?!

U is crazy man. The 911 is an everlasting icon of class and sportiness combined into a sexy shell. Porsche created the automotive equivalent of a diamond with their 911 design. The only upgrades it needs are technological not visual.

i would rather pick Pininfarina's AlfaRomeo 2ettottanta concept car anytime . it does not rely on a lot gizmos like Porsche's offering which do not actually wind up on actual production models . flashback to the Boxster prototype which left everyone at Detroit high .... and dry

Seriously Porsche makes designing such sexy cars so easily the CGT and now this... They are stunning. Build it and do the world a favor Porsche. But ditch the electric motors, I know its a step forward but a "normal" engine version should come out first till electric tech is up to scratch if not it will do the design a great dis-service.

@all the guys that miss the puristic petrol-engines: you are blind and ignorant, when you don't accept, that even the sportscar-makers have to develop hybrid or full electric vehicles. They need this step now to survive in the future of transportation. What you see here is an important direction for the next years. and one day the classical 911 will drive by fuel cell.

they can leave the electric motor in the dumpster. i don't want an electric car with a price that will most assuredly cost more than the carrera gt. hybrid cars are junk. i will not pay for it no matter what the cost.

I'm not usually someone who believes in faith, or prays. But please give me this car superman..This thing is epic, i mean just look at it. It's so damn sexy, the Zonda is the most gorgeous hyper car because of its out of this world styling and craftsmanship, but this is on a whole new level. The new poster child for dream cars.
