I'm having a hard time comprehending how they can add an entire roll cage (which I'm assuming is functional, thus relatively heavy), and still get better performance figures, claiming a lighter weight with only relatively minor weight modifications.

I think it's funny how they say the Gallardo is too timid, yet for the coupé they've essentially designed the bodykit from the new Gallardo Superleggera. To be honest though, if you wanted a Lamborghini more fierce than the LP560-4, wouldn't you just get a Murciélago? I'm not bothered about marginal performance advantages, it's about the theatre of the thing, the V12 sound, the scissor-blade doors, the far madder appearance. That's why I love Lamborghinis. Not because of numbers and stick-on body parts.

The thing is that Murcielago is quite hard to live with it everyday and use it everywhere you want. It's much lower, harder, bigger, not as comfy as the LP560. LP560 performance can nearly break your neck (I have tried it as a passenger so believe me...) and still be used every day, even in city driving. The Murci is something special and what lamborghini is all about - true to that, but I don't think that people who want to drive their Lambo everyday should choose it - that is, I think, all the difference.
