Spy photographers in Sweden captured a new set of pictures featuring the next-generation Porsche Cayenne.  The auto paparazzi swarmed when the SUV pulled into a fuel station where the prototype was filled with diesel.

If that is the case, the spied SUV likely uses a 3.0-liter TDI V6 from Volkswagen that produces up to 240 PS (177 kW / 236 hp).  One thing has been made clear: the next-gen Cayenne looks very much like the photo posted to Porsche's German website, as suspected.

The new Cayenne will be sold in both conventional and hybrid models, with a total of five different power outputs available.  The Cayenne hybrid is expected to use an Audi 3.0-liter supercharged V6 producing about 333 PS (245 kW / 328 hp), and a 46 PS (34 kW / 45.5 hp) electric motor.  This makes the SUV an upmarket version of the VW Touareg Hybrid, which could become Porsche's most fuel efficient vehicle ever.  Other engines will likely include the a turbocharged 500 PS (368 kW / 493 hp) 4.8-liter V8, a naturally-aspirated 405 PS (298 kW / 399 hp) version of the same engine, a 3.6-liter V6 producing 290 PS (213 kW / 286 hp), and the diesel model mentioned earlier.

The 2011 Porsche Cayenne is expected to debut on the web this week, and in person at next week's Geneva Motor Show.

Do you mean the stickers? Because in those pics if you look closely, you can see the creases that determine the actual shape of those tail lights. They look Panamera-ish towards the outside, but I'm not sure about the bit on the tailgate. I think it'll look sportier than the Cayenne II.

it can look as ugly as a santa fe or kia sportage, it doesnt rly matter because people are still going to buy it because of its nice logo.

Aren't those tiny little wheels hideous? If I ever decide to get in the business of building motorized rickshaws for Mogadishu Area Transit (MAT) you can bet I'll be stealing the design for my wheels from the 2011 Cayenne as pictured above. And how 'bout that rear 3/4 view. Those bulges and curves are as graceful as the ones produced by 400lb virgin on his first trip to the whorehouse. Corrected Headline for this story: 2011 BYD T6 Diesel Spied Winter Testing.

To be fair, it is always hard to tell what the finished product will look like based on the disguised test version. Clean it up, slap on some 20 inch rims and it will look ok. Not great, just ok.

I love the way they used stickers on parts of the tail-lights and the headlights to mask the real appearance of the lenses. But for a car that is supposed to be larger (according to the articles posted here) why does it look smaller? Porsche must have some giant test drivers because they do a great job of making the car look smaller in the spy-shots. Now I'm ready for the interior shots! That's the most inportant part of the car...

if anyone saw the porsche website preview a few days ago, the car didnt look too bad from that picture if it was that car. testing is always made to look ugly so it hides what they dont want you to see underneath and to hide new design or changes
