Hennessey Venom GT Unable to Make Geneva Debut
Hennessey Performance Venom GT fans won't be pleased to learn that the upcoming hypercar is not coming to the Geneva Motor Show next month, no thanks apparently, to a lack of exhibition space at the event. Autoblog reports that HP will instead showcase the Venom GT for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK this July. US fans will get their first glimpse in Monterey.
The car is said to achieve power figures of around 746kW (1,000bhp) while peak torque is 1,288Nm (950 lb-ft) at 4,800rpm. It's all sent to the rear wheels from a 6-speed manual transmission.
Final testing is still going on so hopefully more concrete performance figures will be confirmed over the coming weeks.

I really wanted to see it in Geneva.
It looks great and it has 1000 horse power, it`s the hardcore version of the Exige.

A thousand breack horse power?!!
I think to earn a 8-speed transmission automatic

With 950lb/ft in a car weighing the same as a box of matches you don't need 8 speeds in anything. This could probably get away with 3. Any more than 6 is probably a marketing move rather than a technical one.

Isn't this the guy who scammed a lot of people out of upgrades and parts? I thought I remember people on this board mentioning that a lot of people are angry at him because of uncompleted work and switching parts...

I would be disappointed if this weren't shown at the Goodwood festival of speed supercar paddock or can't have a run down the good wood circuit
