Production version of the DS High Rider Concept

Our spies have caught a Citroen DS4 prototype undergoing winter testing in Northern Europe.

Essentially a production version of the DS High Rider Concept, which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the DS4 will feature sporty styling and a luxurious interior. While the mule is heavily camouflaged, the headlights, taillights, and wheels look virtually identical to the concept. It will likely measure 4.26 meters long, 1.82 meters wide and 1.48m high.

As we have previously reported, the High Rider Concept will feature a HDi engine and an electric motor in the rear axle. The latter will allow the concept to travel short distances on electricity alone.

Nice snow buildup in the wheels. When that packs tightly enough and freezes, it causes quite a bit of vibration... Well anyways, the concept looked great, although I would have liked it more if it wasn't a "high rider".

Look at wheel arcs, they are clean. Usually snow do not packs itself to the backside of the rims but in wheel arcs mostly. That car just started to drive and brake discs were cooled to the ambient temperature while idling.

This isn't the DS4, this is the 2010 C4 hatchback.

It's possible, although C4 prototypes have been seen with different wheels and lenses. This one has the same exact wheels as the High Rider concept.

Rear lamps/lenses are the same as High Rider too, and different from C4 protos.

This car is exactly like the DS4 Concept, apart from the B-post showing it's a 5-door.

I'm pretty sure the design is going to look good, but the high rider thing just doesn't cut it for me. Just lower it, it doesn't even look like a cross-over.

Hmmm, true Brian but perhaps Citroen is trying to confuse spies by giving 2011 C4 mules new alloys and taking some of the disguise off at the rear.
