The tail doesn't look upright like the current V50 or the V70, meaning it is more of like a lifestyle estate than a proper traditional Volvo estate that is popular with its practicality and space. So it is more of a fashion accessory than a functional estate?

Well, if you look at the current estate models from all other car manufacturers, you'll see that they all have a sloping rear window. And they still are very useful. My dad has a first gen Mazda 6, and it's very spacious and has never run out of space in the back. A MINI is a fashion accessory.

It got me thinking, why do they need two estates that is based on a same platform - S60, S80, V70, XC60, XC70? I would like to think the S60 based V60 is more of a lifestyle wagon - similar to the Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagon, it appears to look good on the outside but pointless when it comes to packaging while the current V70 is more of a functional practical wagon like the brilliant E-Class Estate. I noticed traditional Volvo owners has moved to Skoda

Are you really that dim? This is the first time I've ever said this but maybe you should read up a bit on Wikipedia. I am keenly awaiting your backtracking.

Maybe is that the Point, ndederina. Volvo V60 will be a Station pratic and very very beautiful.. Take a look on the 4 door area. It didn't appear that the roof has changed. So this can be a good taxi as well :)
