That's one sexy coupe, it may be a great car if it gets the RWD Camaro platform.

This is a hot looking Coupe for Buick. I hope the coupe has some resemblance to the Riviera

I totally agree with Renegade's comments! The camaro platform could make this a sexy performance coupe and it would be affordable. The STS coupe platform could also be an excellent donor.

I hope Buick puts some Grand National into its next coupe. It would be nice if it were a serious competitor to the 370z, genesis and the lex Is range. Also remember the v6-turbo rwd please.

The cost of replacing the front nose piece, which would easily be ruined in a 2mph bump, would be enormous.

I think it looks staggering. If this makes it to production, it could have a good impact on the brand's image, because lately there hasn't been any good looking Buick.

isn't Buick supposed to be a car for old people ? is it a good idea to make them a fast car ?

I'd love to see Buick bring back a coupe based on something like this Riviera concept. Thirty years ago you could hardly swing a dead cat without hitting a 'personal luxury coupe'; now that breed is virtually extinct, replaced by hulking, lumbering SUV's. Surely there's no need for there to be seven of them in GM's line-up like back when (Monte Carlo, Gran Prix, Cutlass, Toronado, Regal coupe, Riviera, Eldorado), but this Riviera would be a nice curvaceous alternative to the CTS's angularity. I really like the way the shoulder line of the car echoes the classic boat-tail Rivieras of the early 1970's

You may just be on to something. GM should wrap Buick and Cadillac together in product development, only, Buick models should be "classic beautiful" with free and flowing lines, while Cadillac continues its Art&Science shenanigans. I'd love a $50K Riviera & Eldorado based on the Zeta platform...so long as they throw a little more development money at it.

just as useless as the overweight cadillac cts-v coupe, way to go government motors that's some foreward thinking
February 17, 2010 10:07 am
damn, some people are going to be angry even if GM made an anti-gravity car.... are you still on the whole "government motors" crap? everyone else has moved on.
Fishes,
Narco.

cant see any futuristic details in that design since its just a bland composition of existing design elements copied. Even a 40 years old Citroen SM looks more futuristic than this.

Go Buick! However, production version will be so watered down. Headlights remind me of Ferrari 458.

it will work as long as Buick does what Cadillac did with the CTS, improved handling and suspension

I think it looks pretty darn good. I see a bit of Genesis coupe and lexus in there but it could have a future if it's a quality car and if priced right. But I aggree with Narco, the american car bashers will never like anything they make anyway so a some point who cares what stupid comment they make.
